I had the problem that the key would not turn in my car's ignition. It made me late for worship team practice today. Here is the link where I found what to do.

Corel Paintshop PRO X9 - looking for fine detail background removal / replacement
What I want to do is
1. take a photo of someone with hair.
2. select the person and any hair extending out over the background.
3. remove the background and be left with the person and hair extending over the background.
4. add a background that has the detail of the foreground person retained (including fine detail).
But I have not been able to get to this level with Paintshop PRO X9.
Can anyone help me?
I have included a portion of a photo which I hope illustrates the fine detail that I would like to retain.
I was hoping that in Paintshop Pro X9 that there would be something that would give me the "fine detail" that is possible in Photoshop CS6 using the Refine Edge.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
This is important when you want to separate strands of hair from a background. This method (follow the link below) for X6 does not do it. In fact, this was why I moved up to X7 because I thought I could get there but could not. And now wondering if it can be done in X9 which I recently moved up to.
I suggest that if Corel really wants people to consider Paintshop to be "PRO", they need to look at what professional software does and include features they have. That is my opinion.

Corel claims that this works better in Paint Shop Pro 2020 but I have not tested.

WINDOWS 10 - HOW CAN I HAVE TASKBAR SHOW ONLY ON MAIN MONITOR (DISPLAY)
The article that I found most helpful on this subject was at https://www.howtogeek.com/111488/how-to-tweak-the-new-multi-monitor-taskbar-in-windows-8/
Here are the steps that were revealed (shown there in Windows 8 - shown here in Windows 10)
1. Position cursor over a part of the taskbar to the right of the start button.
2. Right Click.
3. Click on "Taskbar Settings"
4. Go down the bar on the right until you see "Multiple displays"
5. For the button under "Show taskbar on all displays", click to the left (OFF) position.
When done, the screen should look like this.

COREL PAINTSHOP PRO X9 (64 bit) - STUCK (froze) UPDATING CACHE FILES
Thank you for dropping by my blogger.com canadaman page.
THE PROBLEM:
COREL PAINTSHOP PRO X9 (64 bit) - STUCK (froze) UPDATING CACHE FILES
I have been familiarizing myself with Corel Paintshop Pro X9. I put my computer into hibernate when X9 was loading - I really did not think about that being a problem. From that point on, I was unable to get X9 to run. It would begin but hang up when displaying "Updating Cache Files" or something close to that.
THE SOLUTION:
1. I uninstalled X9.
2. I used the install program that I downloaded from cleverbridge and reinstalled.
2a. On reinstall, I chose the option to install both the 32 and 64
3. After installation, I ran the 32 version. It ran even though I was still having the problem with the 64 bit version.
4. I went into the EDIT tab at the top.
5. I went into the menu, specifically File / Preferences / Reset Preferences.
6. I checked all of the boxes for reset. I then clicked OK.
7. I exited from 32 version.
8. I ran the 64 version.
9. The 64 version worked!
So, since it worked for me, I decided to share with you.
Thanks to a suggestion from someone to reset in a forum that I found somewhere. However, it only said to reset cache. That alone did not work for me.
Here are a couple of screenshots that you might find helpful related to what I did.

NOTE - Initially, I had only 64 bit.
