Corel Paintshop Pro - You Can Fix Paintshop Pro Eraser Tool - leaves things behind

Corel Paintshop Pro - You Can Fix Paintshop Pro Eraser Tool - leaves things behind

I was recently trying to erase an object from my image.

Symptom - Eraser tool would remove some of the object but would leave part.

Resolution -

1. Make sure that the Eraser Tool is selected (in the EDIT Tab)

2. Go to the Materials Pallet

3. Double click on the Background and Fill Color

4. Make sure that the check box beside Texture is NOT  checked.

5. Try the Eraser Tool again.  It should work now, erasing everything.

NOTE - If you want to erase and have "interesting" effects, try this.

a. Create a new layer

b. Hide all other layers

c. Fill new layer with black

d. Make sure that there is a check mark in the Texture box for the Materials Pallet.

e. Use the Eraser tool for cool effects.

>>> I had Marble selected and it gave me a result that looked like a cloud.
